Musi Triboatton, a Boat Race in Musi River, South Sumatra
International Musi Triboatton is a blend of exploration travel or traverses the river by rowing varied using three different types of boat namely river boat, kayak, and traditional boat racing.
A river is one of the centers of civilization and culture as well as transportation facilities, sports and tourism activities. Seeing the potential of the river that can be developed into a tourist attraction. The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy did support the government’s program and the Regent of South Sumatra province to organize Musi Triboatton, with the start point at the Empat Lawang and ends in Palembang.
Initial activities will start in the village of Tanjung Raya, Empat Lawang (35 kilometres). The second stage will be held in the village of Muara Kelingi to Musi Rawas (140 kilometres). The third stage was held in the City Sekayu, Musi Banyuasin (165 kilometres). The fourth stage begins at Pangumbuh, Banyuasin (108 kilometres). Finally, the fifth stage will be the end point of the participants in the District 10 Ulu, Palembang (75 kilometres).
International Musi Triboatton is a blend of exploration travel or traverses the river by rowing varied using three different types of boat namely river boat, kayak, and traditional boat racing. The traverse along the stem of the boat upstream to downstream along the 500 kilometres trajectory rapids on white water and a fast quiet on the flat water.
The competition has been held for the fifth time and attended by participants from various countries and regions. Recorded 16 rowing team confirmed to take part in rowing race this open, among others, China, Macau, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, Malaysia, East Java, Jambi, Battalion 133 Padang, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, South Sumatra, West Java, Bangka Belitung and Jakarta.
